Unreal Engine Foundations
Unreal Engine Foundations is a 12-week course that is designed to overview key aspects of how to use Unreal Engine for beginners. It provides foundational technical knowledge which will be used in both the VR and Cinematic Pathways. Students will learn the basics of navigating the Unreal Engine, creating landscapes, understanding the Blueprint Scripting System, using animations, and incorporating these topics into the creation of a cinematic sequence.

In this module, students are introduced to Unreal Engine and familiarize themselves with the basic navigation tools and applications.

In this module, students create landscapes using heightmaps, manual and pre-created landscapes

In this module, students are introduced to Blueprints, Unreal Engine’s visual scripting system.
Blueprints Part I
In this module, students are introduced to the Blueprint Editor, programming concepts and its tools

In this module students construct scripts and explore blueprint communications
Blueprints Part III
In this module students are introduced to to Unreal Motion Graphics

In this module, students receive an overview of animation concepts and usage and creation of Animation BP

In this module, students are introduced to MetaHumans and importing characters from 3rd party sources

Sequencer Part I
In this module, students learn about the post-production process and stitching audio and video utilizing Adobe Premier.
Sequencer Part II
In this module, students learn how to use Master Sequence and incorporating blueprints in Sequencer.
Sequencer Part III
In this module, students will review all course concepts and tasks as well as fine tune their final projects.

In this module students will present the final animated sequence (minimum 45s-60s) of their story

This is a rigorous acceleration course that requires maturity, dedication and independence. Each module as 10 hours of lessons but also includes 10-15 additional hours of student work outside of the lessons. Students should carefully consider if they have the capacity and time to commit to this program.

The first four weeks of the program, students onboard with Unreal Engine. In the latter weeks, students work on their pre-visualization project in Unreal Engine to pitch at the end of the program

After purchasing you’ll be directed to our Learning Management system to enroll in the course. From there, you’ll have access to the course for the duration of the program.
