The GRX Immersive Labs Arts, Beats & Tech workstation aims at youth to enrich educational goals embodied by STEAM through music production.
Opportunities to teach various subjects beyond sound and music include history, reading (ELA), math, and creative entrepreneurship.
Curriculum Breakdown

Students develop an understanding of the historical contributions and cultural dimensions of music. Students analyze the role of music in past and present cultures worldwide, noting cultural diversity as it relates to music, musicians, composers, and producers.

Students develop the skills for processing, analyzing, and responding to sensory information through the primary language and skills unique to music. Students read basic drum notation to listen to, analyze, and describe music and other aural sounds using a basic set of music terms.

Reading basic drum notation to listen to, analyze, and describe music and other aural sounds using a basic set of music terms. Students utilize clapping, tapping, and vocalizing primary 4/4 rhythms as they relate to drumming sequences which are then transferred to a drum sequencer.

Students and educators learn how to engage with basic skills sets of how to interact and engage in virtual (XR) spaces.
